Curious mind with passion for people development in hospitality industry

Curious: That’s the best word to describe me. I am constantly learning and am always hungry for knowledge. I ask questions to get answers—so I can ask even more questions. During my internship, I got the nickname “Ms. Why” because I asked so many “why” questions.
Passion: My eyes light up, and my enthusiasm goes up when the conversation is about learning, development, people’s potential, or education. It’s more than just interest for me—it’s passion.
People: No organization can run without people, and no organization can thrive long-term without great people. I’m passionate about the potential people development has to drive organizations forward.
Hospitality: This is the stage I’ve chosen. While the hospitality industry employs many people, it doesn’t have the best reputation. That’s why I see great potential there, and I want to help drive that change.

Work experience

Work experience presented below is not to show you what I did, but I what learnt. I strongly believe that any experience's value is worth the learning I gain from it. That's why my experience is not presented in the form of achievements but in the form of learnings because the latest are my achievements. I’m not career-oriented; I’m learning-oriented. To me, a successful career is just a by-product of learning.

    ● Member of Student Participation CouncilRepresenting the student body's interest and advocating for positive changes within the university
Main learning: Every decision has a reason behind it. Instead of criticizing right away, it's better to be curious and ask questions.
    ● Student ambassadorRepresent the university by providing tours, hosting webinars, and supporting events to engage prospective students
Main learning: The same information must be presented in different ways based on the target group. Some may prefer visual statistics, while others respond better to success stories from fellow studentsRead recommendation letter

    ● Council of AdviceAssisting board in decision-making, strategic planning, and ensuring the organization's mission is effectively carried out with focus on finance and strategy

    ● Local RepresentativeRepresenting and voting on behalf of local section on national level
Main learning: Sometimes, personal opinion may not align with the organization’s position. As a representative, it’s important to accept and support the collective decision when necessary.
    ● Treasurer & Board memberResponsible for overseeing the organization's financial activities, including cash management, reporting, budgeting and record keeping
Main learning: People are convinced in different ways—some need proof, others want alternatives, some need to like the idea, and some want to feel included—so it's important to understand what each person needs to gain their support.
    ● Events Committee memberHelping with organising small-scale online events during covid time for students
Main learning: Event planning is chaotic. Success requires someone detail-oriented who can also step back to see the bigger picture.
    ● Projects Committee memberHelping with miscellaneous projects (e.g. gathering information about things to do in summer for students)
Main learning: Projects without direct strategic importance are often the first to be cut, no matter how exciting they may seem.

Education

Many people who know me are often surprised to learn that I completed high school, college, and bachelor’s degree—all with distinction. That’s because I’ve never considered grades to be my true achievements or something worth highlighting. For me, the real achievements are the learnings that cannot be measured by numbers or certificates.
Below, you’ll find my academic grades. I share them not as a reflection of my knowledge — because I believe that much of it comes from outside the classroom—but rather as a testament to my discipline and commitment to learning.
